When COVID hit, Clatsop Cares Foundation decided to pause its board. However, we have since rebuilt the core board members at large. Yet, we are still missing a couple of key members. We are looking for a President to lead this board and another person to serve as Secretary Treasurer. Clatsop Cares Foundation is a critical part of Clatsop Care Center Health District as it is the 5013(c) arm and is responsible for fund raising events, endowments, setting up trusts, seeking out and applying for grants, as well as setting up and establishing scholarship programs for our employees. In addition to this, Clatsop Cares Foundation will be instrumental in raising capital for our new building replacing the current Clatsop Care Health & Rehabilitation Center which was the original Columbia Memorial Hospital on 16th Street in Astoria.
